What we keep from people who write to us
This wording has applied since November 2026.
This site asks nobody to sign up and holds no form of any kind. The handful of details that reach Bio Chá come from people who decide to write or ring. Here, told plainly, is where each of them ends up, in the light of Brazil's Law No. 13.709/2018, the General Data Protection Law.
Who answers
The party deciding over that information is Bio Cha Comercio e Distribuidora LTDA, CNPJ 37.592.479/0001-02, based at Av. Frederick Hoffmann, 464, Casa 01, Jardim Coimbra, São Paulo, SP, 03693-040, Brazil.
The data protection officer can be reached at contato@thelongerafternoon.com; that is where any request on this sheet should be sent.
What arrives
- By e-mail: your address, the name under your signature and whatever you opt to share, such as a table booking or a description of a resale outlet.
- By phone: the number shown on the handset and the note jotted down by whoever answered.
- From simply opening the page: the company hosting the site keeps its own technical log of the IP address, the browser and the moment the page loaded.
We run no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers and no behaviour profiles. The drawn letters on this page are fetched from the Google Fonts service, a service that receives your IP address in the course of handing over the lettering.
Why we hold it
To reply to whoever asked, keep hold of an agreed booking, put together the quote a reseller requested and, if a deal goes ahead, issue the tax paperwork the law demands. The legal basis depends on the case: a person asking for something authorises the reply; a trade enquiry counts as steps taken before a contract; an invoice is a legal duty.
None of these details turns into a mailing list, and nothing is handed over to anyone wanting to advertise.
Who else sees
Apart from the people working in the house, a portion of the information is visible to the e-mail provider, the company hosting the site, the firm's accountant, if an invoice exists, and public bodies making a formal demand. None of them receives more than its own part of the job requires.
Links taking you to other companies' sites follow those companies' rules, not ours.
How long
Notes that never become business go in the bin after the matter is settled. Records tied to a sale stay for the period tax law sets. The mailbox is locked by a password and opens only for staff who handle the house's mail.
Your requests
At any time you may check whether a record of you exists, obtain a duplicate, correct it, have it wiped or anonymised, find out who else received it, take back a consent you gave, and push back against any use you think goes too far.
Write to contato@thelongerafternoon.com. Our reply goes out no later than 15 business days after your message. Should the matter stay unresolved, Brazil's National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) takes complaints at gov.br/anpd.
